Training
Regular training is essential for a good performance. Nikki Lloyd is our head coach and we have a number of qualified coaches working under her and have a thriving Junior Club. The season begins in September, and training continues throughout the year, with a break in August, although informal training and fitness often takes place over the summer break. If you cannot attend training any week, please let your captain know.
This year we have split training.
Training for the 4th, 5th and Jax teams takes place on Mondays between 7 and 9pm on the outside courts at the Leisure Centre. Training for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd team takes place on Wednesdays between 8 and 10pm on the indoor court at the Leisure Centre.
During school holidays and in the summer, all teams train together on Mondays between 7 and 9pm. Once a month the 4th team comes up to Wednesday training. On the week that happens, one of the top three squads goes to Monday training instead.

All players will be invoiced in installments for training over the autumn and spring, regardless of whether or not they attend training. Players may opt out of training after mid-May, but will be invoiced for the summer training sessions unless they inform the head coach and treasurer that they won't be training. Training fees are payable whether or not an individual attends training as they cover the cost of hiring the courts; however, where a player misses training for a block of six weeks or more due to injury or illness, training fees for those weeks will not need to be paid. For 1sts to 3rds, training fees will be £3.50 a week and for the 4ths to Jax, fees will be £2.75.
You will receive invoices for training via your team treasurer; payments may be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer. All payments must be accompanied by our payment cover note.
